Living the LIfe chapter 4

Alice sat on her bed her eyes bloodshot. She didn’t understand why it had to happen to her cousin.

“Why not someone else, why her?” She thought. She walked downstairs to the amazing smell of crescent rolls roasting in the oven.

“Mom, why her, why Alex, why not me?” Alice said.

“Oh honey, I know you’re worried but its ok. She’ll be fine.” Her mom said.

“OK. Well, I think that I’m going to go to bed now because it’s getting late. See you in the morning.”

“Goodnight honey. Sweet dreams.” Her mom said. As Alice was walking up the stairs, she was wondering if her cousin really would be ok. She went up to bed and turned off her light. That night she dreamt of horrible things.

Alex was walking down a hallway and then she collapsed. She was still able to talk, but no one was around to help her. She just lay there on the floor screaming. She wanted to go and help but there was no way that she could go now. It was too late. Alex closed her eyes and stopped screaming. She was just lying there, motionless. Alex was rushed to the hospital. When Alice walked in Alex was hooked up to all theses machines. Tubes were going up her nose and in her mouth. She looked horrible. They were taking blood from her to see if they could find any matches for her blood type. If they couldn’t...well then Alex was out of luck. They went and looked at blood types for some of their patients. Nobody was a match to Alex. Just then Alice woke up. She was on the floor just sitting there. She must have fallen out of bed.

Her mother came rushing into the room.

“Honey are you ok? What happened?”

“Mom,” Alice said sobbing, “I think something happened to Alex.”
