Alice noticed that something was wrong with Alex the next day. She was pale and not acting like herself. Alice called her uncle and asked him to come right away. He came over right away.
“This better be good. I had to leave work early.” Her uncle said to her.
“Come here, I need you to see Alex.” Alice said her voice rushed and trying to move quickly. They walked into Alex’s room. She was laying on the bed her face pale. She had wet towels on her head. She looked really sick. Her breathing was heavy. She stood up and tried to walk to her father. Then she collapsed in his arms.
“Go get the phone. We are going to have to call 9-1-1 again. I don’t know what’s wrong with her. Do you have your cell phone?”
“Always, who do you need me to call?”
“Call Alex’s mother and sister. Tell them that we are at the hospital with Alex again. Tell them to meet us there as soon as possible.”
“Okay, I’ll go check if the ambulance is here yet.” She walked outside and started to hear the sirens calling. “UNCLE TOM! THEY’RE HERE!” The ambulance came in and got Alex. They took her to the hospital. When they arrived, Alex’s family was already there.
“Is she okay? What happened to her? Where is she?” Alex’s mother asked, full of concern for her baby girl.
“She’s in the operating room. They’re running tests on her. She should be okay.” Her dad said. Just then the nurse walked out.
“Family of....Alex Jones?” She asked
“Yes that’s us. Is she okay?” Alex’s mother asked.
“Well...actually...she has...”
